A shrine to the beautiful game.
Tucked away on a quiet residential street in Roma Norte you’ll find @esdeepoca. It’s part vintage football shop, part café, and part analog film shop. It checks all the boxes. Aldo Camacho opened the store to be a meeting place for football fans. It’s a clubhouse to hangout and watch games. Instead of crate digging for vinyl gems, you can discover vintage football treasures from around the world. Es De Época was built because someone asked “where would football fans actually want to hang out?” and then made it a reality.

@sanluisclubroma has been the late-night heartbeat of Roma Norte since 1977. On any given night three live bands rotate through salsa, merengue, and cumbia until 4AM. It’s old-school in the best way: red leather booths, tuxedoed waiters, a proper dance floor, and a crowd that actually knows how to use it. Even if you’ve never danced salsa before, just show up, order a drink, and let someone who’s clearly been dancing here for decades show you how it’s done.

Meet your host: @ferpineapple_ , a former professional football player who is building an inclusive community of soccer players, artists, and friends with @solose.fc. To Fer, football is more than just a game. It’s the basis for belonging, no matter who you are or where you’re from. Football is hard to miss in CDMX, but it’s not always easy to access. Fer organizes pickup football games on a public court in Roma Norte that are open-to-all and might look more like a block party than a soccer game. Fer blends her love for the game, art, and community building, and has fun while she’s at it.
Book an experience with Fer. There’s no better way to get to know a new place than to hop into a game with your new teammates, locals who know the city best.

Where wine tasting is not that deep.
This natural wine bar will demystify the wine-tasting process and teach you how to order wine in Paris like a pro.

Stop by @lespiqueurs for a thorough (but unintimidating) wine-tasting. Tastings include cheese pairings like Comté with white Burgundy or Saint-Nectaire with a fruity Loire red. Runners, if you're in Paris on a Saturday don't miss the flan running club @gamine.paris.
Nestled in the heart of the 18th arrondissement, this woman-owned bakeshop serves sweet and savory goods made from scratch. Delphine opened Gamine for one reason: “to make people happy with small things.”
You’ll find that joy echoed throughout the bakery: on weekends her staff can be found singing and dancing while hand-rolling cinnamon rolls, pain au chocolat, and the “ocho”: a Belgian-style pastry filled with vanilla custard, shaped like an eight.
And if dancing and singing staff isn’t enough reason to visit, pastry chef and Gamine intern @tsio.r was a finalist on @lmp_M6 (the French version of The Great British Bakeoff). Tsiory’s floral-shaped pastries and zest for life landed him a spot on season 13 for “Best Pastry Chef,” where he won second place (and a hungry following).
Parisian residents (and neighborhood dogs) are Gamine’s local fans. Every Saturday, the flan running club posts up at Gamine, refueling after braving the famous hilly streets of Montmartre.
Whether you’re visiting Paris for the food or the sights, make sure to stop by (or run to) Gamine for a taste of both.

In 2022, my journey of restoring a traditional Japanese kominka began.
Along the way, I encountered extraordinary craftsmen and the timeless beauty of traditional Japanese techniques passed down through generations. Through this experience, I came to realize the richness of not just “living,” but truly living in harmony with nature.
After many years of dedication, the kominka I have carefully restored is finally ready to be unveiled.
Thanks to @airbnb, you can experience the magic of my kominka with this exclusive stay.
Guests will be invited to experience the stories and intentions behind each space through a private room tour, enjoy meals featuring local ingredients, and take part in a playful and immersive hospitable experience created by tea master Dairiku Amae. Inspired by the childhood spirit of “Mamagoto” that we should never lose as adults, the experience is centered around the themes of tea, flowers, incense, and color — designed to awaken playfulness and the senses.
As a special gift, guests will also receive incense curated by tefutefu .
Through the restoration of this kominka, I hope to share the beauty, emotions, and unique Japanese sense of aesthetics we discovered here with the world.
Bookings open today. I would be delighted to host you.
